"Shades of White Satin" - Cambridge, MA

Project Description This spacious dream kitchen was created for an "empty-nest" couple who wanted to expand their existing kitchen space. The new room has become part of an open floor plan that includes a dining area that overlooks a landscaped garden and connects the kitchen to a family room. New windows combined with the white cabinets and Carrara marble counters make this room much brighter than the original. The kitchen features Medallion Designer Gold Cabinetry in Maple with "Divinity White" finish. The cabinet style is "Potter's Mill." Grourmet/professional appliances were installed and two islands were added; the larger island features a prep sink and a second dishwasher. "Super Susans" allow for the efficinent use of corners and pantry units add plenty of storage. The drawers include smart-motion self-closing drawer glides. There are also built-in wastebaskets for trash and recycling.
